Pain

Acupuncture is one of the most effective drug-free treatments for pain relief.  Treatments are minimally invasive and simple – small, sterilized stainless steel, single-use, medication-free needles are tapped into the skin. Whether for healing injuries or managing pain, acupuncture frequently provides instantaneous relief with long lasting results when proper treatments are administered.  Pain is the body’s way to communicate with the brain that blockages need to be removed in order to restore normal physiological and emotional function. By stimulating specific acupuncture and trigger points with needles, acupuncture will stimulate blood flow, relax and re-train muscles, soothe nerves, and renew the body’s ability to heal. As a result, pain is relieved.

Stress

Acupuncture can help energy flow smoothly, and alleviate not only the symptoms of stress and anxiety, but the stress and anxiety itself. Numerous studies have demonstrated the substantial benefits of acupuncture in the treatment of stress. Acupuncture improves circulation of blood throughout the body, which oxygenates the tissues and cycles out cortisol and other waste chemicals. The calming nature of acupuncture also decreases heart rate, lowers blood pressure and relaxes the muscles. While it isn't always possible to remove the external forces causing stress, the ability to effectively deal with stress is a choice. Take time for yourself to cultivate the energy you need to handle your stress more skillfully and effectively.

Fertility

Multiple studies have shown and most doctors agree that acupuncture increases the success rate of intense procedures such as IVF, artificial insemination and hormonal therapy while also helping to alleviate the uncomfortable side effects. Studies show that acupuncture can increase the chances that assisted reproductive technologies will result in a live birth by 10 to 15 percent or more. Whether you are trying to conceive naturally or going through assisted reproductive procedures such as IVF or IUI, the proper utilization of acupuncture, herbs, and nutrition has been clinically proven to significantly increase your chances of a successful pregnancy.

Pregnancy

Yes, acupuncture is safe and effective during pregnancy. The practice of acupuncture during pregnancy dates back for over 2,000 years. Acupuncture is not a substitute for Western prenatal medical care. Instead, it offers complementary care that has many benefits. Since acupuncture has very few side effects, many pregnant women seek acupuncture to enhance wellness during pregnancy and labor, and as an alternative to medication for many common pregnancy complaints.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping compliments acupuncture by speeding up the energy and blood circulation. Cupping was also developed 2,500 years ago to expel pathogens that create illness as well as toxins built in muscle layers. By creating suction and negative pressure, cupping has been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, which is used to treat muscle pain and spasms, drain excess fluids and toxins, loosen adhesions, connective tissue and stubborn knots in soft tissue, stimulate blood circulation and bring blood flow to nourish stagnant muscles and skin, enhance the flow of energy, stimulate the peripheral nervous system, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the arteries, veins, and capillaries, and improve varicose veins. Cupping draws the inflammation out, yet does not add to it.

Facial Rejuvenation

This procedure is for anyone who is concerned about the effects of the aging process on the skin. Collagen production starts to deteriorate from the age of 26 and skin is often first to show the sign of aging. Using needles we can retrain muscles to tighten. Ultra-fine needles placed on systemic points activate muscles in the face and neck to lift, improve tone and increase circulation of the blood and lymph. This helps define jaw line, clear complexion, reduce redness and gives a youthful flow. Needles inserted into frown lines and wrinkles, causing a micro-trauma that stimulate the body to produce collagen to gently fill out the lines.  Noticeable results can appear after the first session but for a lasting prolong effect, a series of 6-10 is recommended.
